TRAVEL GRANTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS IN THE FIELD OF CULTURE AND ARTS
The grant is provided to young artists for participation in artistic events (contests, festivals, traineeships, symposiums, master classes, biennales and conferences) both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
The goal of these trips is to level up the professional skills and to promote the culture and arts of Kazakhstan.
The grant amount includes the costs of travel and stay for no more than two weeks (14 calendar days). Grant allocation is carried out on a competitive basis.
The grants are provided for the following directions (nominations):
- Literature, journalism;
- Choreography, music, theater, filmmaking;
- Art, architecture and design.
The competition is open for:
- Artists with professional education, at the age of not older than 40, working individually and within the creative team consisting of no more than 3 persons (the limit for the Choreography nominees is 5 persons)
- Students of the arts and culture educational institutions working individually and within the creative team consisting of no more than 3 persons (the limit for the Choreography nominees is 5 persons)
FILING AN APPLICATION
In the specified period, an applicant carries out a submission of a competition application together with a list of required documents (see Rules for the allocation of the Foundation grants for the trip to participate in the events in the field of culture and arts).
AWARDING OF GRANTS
Grant holders are determined by the competition of the Foundation Committee, consisting of not less than five members. Open voting by simple majority makes committee decisions.
Grant is allocated after the conclusion of a grant (sponsorship) contract.
The Foundation controls the targeted use of allocated funds and in case of revealing the fact of improper use, it has the right to demand the return of these funds.
