24.08.2019 | The Foundation of Elbasy summed up the results of the First Central Asian Youth Festival
The First Central Asia Youth Festival ended in Almaty. The organizer of a large-scale dialogue platform for more than 300 young people from Central Asian countries was the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, with the support of the City Administration of Almaty. For two days, representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan participated in panel sessions, master classes, art performances and the grand open air at the resort «Shymbulak».
The mission of the Central Asia Youth Festival is to unite young people to solve common problems in the Central Asian region and further international cooperation in such areas as volunteering, development of startups, implementation of social projects and research.
Famous political and public figures, scientists, cultural experts, athletes and leaders of youth movements shared experience and knowledge with the participants of the festival, inspired them to success and told about their professional path. At panel sessions and specialized master classes, young people gathered a lot of practical information on how to set and achieve goals, how to generate ideas and create new projects, how to realize yourself and be useful to society.
By the way, about new projects. One of the main features of the Central Asia Youth Festival is the design work. The participants on the first day were divided into five teams in order to develop new solutions to social issues, including an accessible environment for everyone, youth problems and the environmental situation in Central Asia, as well as demonstrate their entrepreneurial talents. Presentation of the projects took place on the second day. Within five minutes, the speaker from each team had to come up with the idea of his project and protect it. Everyone else listened, studied the proposed solutions, and asked questions. Then the participants started voting – it was necessary to cast a vote in a special bulletin for the project they liked.
The winners of the project work were named during the closing ceremony of the festival, where Igor Rogov, the Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President, made a welcoming speech:
– This festival, with its focus, implements one of the main goals of the Foundation of Elbasy activity – supporting talented youth. In fact, this festival supports talented young people, including the one that has achieved great success in public life, science, and is ready to share its experience. An important distinguishing feature of the festival was that it covered a wide range of areas of modern life – this is IT technology, and issues of professional self-realization of youth, and the development of social projects.
According to the results of voting, two teams became winners. In the nomination «Best Social Project» the award was given to the team «Ecology», and in the nomination «Best Business Project» – to the team «Business 1». They received special gifts from the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy. Note that the composition of each of the five teams was represented by participants from different countries. According to the organizers, this competition of design works is not a competition, and victory in it is not the main thing. The main task of this block of the Central Asia Youth Festival is to introduce participants from different countries to each other, teach them how to work in a team and create projects, despite various obstacles.
The participants of the First Central Asian Youth Festival, reading out the resolution, expressed hope that the event would become an annual event and expand its geography.

The most progressive, ambitious and promising young people from the countries of Central Asia gathered here, said another participant in the festival, Alan Kulkayev.
– The First Central Asian Youth Festival provided for the introduction of new views and proposals for the effective implementation of mechanisms and norms for the implementation of state youth policy in the countries of our region. The exchange of international experience has served as an important factor in strengthening the interests of youth. A major role in deepening our relations was played by a community of interests. After this festival, the youth of our countries should not only know each other, but also speak the language of kindness, friendship, love and mutual understanding. I thank all the organizers of this wonderful youth festival for the rainbow reception and hospitality. I am deeply convinced that together we will achieve our goals and will be able to bring the dialogue between the youth of our countries to a new level of mutual understanding, concluded Akmal Zhumaboyev, Chairman of the Tashkent City Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.
We add that the festival ended with an open-air concert and a rich entertainment program for participants.
