05.09.2019 | The Foundation of Elbasy announced a competition among the Councils of Young Scientists
The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy announced a traditional competition for the title of the best Council of young scientists at scientific organizations and universities of the country.
The competition helps to develop the activities of the Councils of Young Scientists (CYS). Its goal is to support the initiatives of young scientists, as well as to help realize their scientific potential.
— The contest of the Foundation of the First President «The Best Council of Young Scientists» is the only one in the country, if not throughout the CIS. The work of CYS members at research institutes and universities often remains without a proper assessment of its results. The competition of the Foundation of Elbasy gives a chance to receive not only recognition of the significance of the work of the council, but also grant support for the implementation of its own initiatives. Such an opportunity is provided extremely rarely, and it should not be missed, — said Yermek Toktarov, member of the Science Council under the Foundation, Ph.D.
The competitive commission, which includes members of the Science Council under the Foundation of the First President and actively working scientists, will determine the winner based on the following criteria:
— The activity and effectiveness of the Council of Young Scientists;
— Originality/freshness, significance and prospects of the implemented CYS measures.
Among the documents submitted for the competition is a detailed work plan of the CYS with an indication of the purpose, objectives, expected results of work, volumes and sources of financing.
Decisions of the commission are determined by open vote. Victory is awarded to the Council of Young Scientists with at least 3/4 votes.
The best CYS is awarded with a diploma and a grant to support and develop its activities.
Applications are accepted until October 14 inclusive.
